Update on the Anne Frank Sappling

• Southern Cayuga Central School has been chosen as one of eleven sites in the United States to receive a chestnut tree sapling taken from the mother-tree that Anne Frank gazed at out of the attic window while in hiding in Amsterdam during World War II. We are preparing for its arrival and placement into quarrantine with monitoring by the USDA. It will be a while before we are actually able to plant it. Stay tuned. 11/20/09

•    H1N1 News @ SCCS On Tuesday, November 17 the Cayuga County Health Department immunized 325+ students, more than a one third of our PreK-12 student population. Those families missing this opportunity should contact their personal physicians. The number of students absent peaked in the double digits in October. We are back down and getting much closer to average absenteeism this week. 11/20/09.
